We know it has been quiet on our end. That silence has not been without purpose.
Behind the scenes, we have been swamped assisting our community in every way possible. Whether through mutual aid, advocacy, or direct support, our focus has

been on being present where it matters most. With that, we are officially postponing our Inaugural Black Tie Event, Black Diaspora until 2026, following the state primaries in November 2026.

This is more than a scheduling change. It reflects where we are needed right now. The ongoing ICE corruption, the denial of essential food and medical support, and the systemic harm caused by this administration, especially in Chicago, demand our full attention. We cannot celebrate while our people are struggling. Every ounce of our effort and every dollar of our funding is being directed to the frontlines of justice and care. This is not the end of our vision. It is the beginning of us walking fully in our purpose. We will continue to move with intention. We will continue to speak truth to power. We will continue to center the people who are too often left behind. Thank you for your patience, your support, and your trust.
